A four classroom addition. Two kindergarten and two regular classrooms.
Footprint is 237 SqM a total area addition of 432 SqM.
Phase 2,
$2.14 million
Started Construction (July 2002), Finishing in the fall
of 2003
A complete renovation and re-allocation of space on both levels to
accommodate the amalgamation of Centreville Elementary School in to
Centreville Middle School.
The Scope of work was:
Create classroom space by additions and renovating.
Develop/create specialized areas for program delivery.
Upgrade the existing building to current building and fire codes.
Upgrade existing areas to meet the Dept. of Education Standards.
(17 classrooms, 9 elementary, 8 middle school level, new Resource Centre,
art/music room, new science lab, new Broad Base Technology lab, New
Cafeteria, New Student Services i.e Guidance and Health Room, New Resource
and Methods Rooms, Teachers Centre and New Administration.
The main components of this
project will be:
3 additional Classrooms, combined Music and Art room, Resource centre,
Multipurpose Room / Cafetorium with a Kitchen and Stage.
The renovation of the existing will add a Reception / General Office,
Principal's Office, Storage and Communication rooms, Guidance / Student
Services, Health / Change facilities fir Methods and Resources.
